Welcome To Koreatown

Every winter this big bright Tiger shows up at the western edge of Toronto's Koreatown.

I've tried shooting it in the past with the D80 but was never happy with the result; the colour and light seemed to overwhelm the sensor somewhat and the focus was never quite correct. I decided to see what the D7000 would make of it and was quite pleased with this result.

ISO 1600, f2.8, 1/40th Handheld.

According to Wikipedia, "Regarded by many as the divine spirit that guards the West, people in Korea consider the white tiger as a sacred creature in local folklore."
